About Us
We believe healing begins with honesty, community, and the courage to show up as your whole self.

Deni Knox
Meet Deni, an amazing mom of four who wears many hats. Deni is an award-winning journalist, talk show host, singer, and doctoral candidate. Her LA Film School background in Creative Writing and Filmmaking led her to combine her passion for children's book writing with animation. Early in her career, her aptitude for writing children's literature was acknowledged when YMCA EYE MAGAZINE commissioned her to craft stories for children residing in orphanages throughout Greece.
As a celebrity teenager, she was honored by President Ronald Reagan at The White House as a National Philanthropist, ran in the International 1984 Olympic Torch Relay, and was a national finalist in the National Teenager pageant competition. A founding artist of the East Coast Opera Company, she has performed solo on grand stages like Carnegie Hall and major league sports arenas, such as singing the National Anthem to open an MLB Phillies game. A three-time Readers' Digest Career Key award recipient for her essay entries, she has traveled across the country as a spokesperson for Girls Inc. (formerly known as Girls Clubs of America) and lobbied on Capitol Hill for children's health and safety.
My passion is fueled by faith.
Deni established The Pink Lemon, a non-profit organization dedicated to advancing black women's health and research. Concurrently, she embarked on creating the Yucky Pizza children's book series. This distinctive series aims to assist families in fostering open communication with their children about illness, particularly when adults fall ill. Deni's triumph over sickness is an inspiration to many. Her passion for education, music, and community service is contagious, and she continues to give back in every way possible. So, let's all take a page out of Deni's book and strive to be the best versions of ourselves.
